Clark Memorial Hospital Recognized for Second Consecutive Year for Prestigious Indiana Business Award

Indiana Business Magazine and BKD LLP recognized Clark Memorial Hospital for the second consecutive year at the BKD Indiana Excellence Awards. Clark Memorial was honored with the Bronze Award in the Health Care category, making the hospital one of only three companies recognized in 2003 and 2004 for business excellence.

The awards recognize Indiana businesses and organizations that demonstrate a commitment to quality with measurable improvements in efficient and effective business practices. Indiana Business Magazine and the accounting firm BKD LLP, one of the largest in the United States, sponsor these annual awards.

“We are very honored to be recognized once again for this prestigious award,” says Timothy L. Jarm, president and CEO of Clark Memorial Hospital. “For our patients, it is an indication the care they receive at our facility is of the highest quality. For us, being recognized is validation we are doing the right things for our community.”

The awards were presented at a ceremony in Indianapolis. More than 30 companies from the state of Indiana were selected as finalists. The overall winner this year was the National Future Farmers of America Organization in Indianapolis. Steve Kaelble, editor of Indiana Business Magazine, indicated that they received more applications this year than in subsequent years, and that the field of entries was the strongest in the award's nine-year history.
