Clark Memorial Hospital Foundation

Each year during the month of October, the Foundation hosts a reception for donors. At the reception the programs and activities of the past year are highlighted in its Annual Report to the Community. In addition, the Foundation spotlights a donor or donors to receive its annual Friends of the Family recognition. In October of 2008, Ray Parrella was spotlighted.

“We are very lucky to have a community asset like Clark Memorial Hospital,” commented Ray Parrella, this year’s Friends of the Family honoree. “As members of the community, we may call on the hospital for our own health needs or the needs of a family member so I am proud to be involved in supporting the hospital through the Foundation.” Whether serving on the Foundation board, volunteering for committees or donating money, Ray has certainly been a friend and supporter of the Clark Memorial Hospital Foundation and Clark Memorial Hospital over the years.

Ray served for six years on the Foundation Board of Directors, and is an enthusiastic supporter of the newborn nursery at the hospital. For many years his passion and support have provided small hard cover books, titled “Guess How Much I Love You,” to the mothers and babies of the hospital’s Breastfeeding Center.
