Sue Phillips Is Named To American Cancer Society Mid-South Division Board Of Directors



Sue Phillips, BSN, RN, director of primary care and community outreach at Clark Memorial Hospital, has been named to the American Cancer Society’s Mid-South Division Board of Directors. Phillips has served as a local American Cancer Society volunteer in many capacities over the last seven years.

The Mid-South Division includes Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, as well as Clark and Floyd counties, Indiana. The American Cancer Society, the nation's largest voluntary health organization and the leading source of cancer information and service,

Phillips brings years of expertise, experience and dedication to her new volunteer role. She has served as Tell A Friend chair, a member of the Clark County Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Coalition, and as a Relay For Life team captain. In 2002, Phillips served as a Celebration on the Hill Ambassador, traveling to Washington, D.C., to speak directly to legislators about the needs and concerns of cancer patients and the American Cancer Society. She has continued her advocacy activities locally and has served as a Lobby Day advocate.
