Clark Memorial Hospital Foundation

In 1986 a group of community minded citizens realized that if their local hospital was to grow, a vital part of that growth would be charitable giving from the community.

Under the leadership of George Lane, the Foundation's first president, the Clark County Memorial Hospital Foundation was formed and received its official 501(C) (3) tax status. This status allows gifts made to the Foundation to be considered tax deductible to individuals and corporations.

In 1990's the work "County" was dropped from the Foundation name and the mission of the Clark Memorial Hospital Foundation was adopted. The mission simply reads: "Clark Memorial Hospital Foundation's mission is to assist, support and strengthen Clark Memorial Hospital in its efforts to provide superior health service to the people and communities it serves."
