The Clark Memorial Hospital Foundation

The Clark Memorial Hospital Foundation

In 1986 a group of community minded citizens realized that if their local hospital was to grow, a vital part of that growth would be charitable giving from the community.

Under the leadership of George Lane, the Foundation’s first president, the Clark County Memorial Hospital Foundation was formed and received its official 501(C)(3) tax status. This status allows gifts made to the Foundation to be considered tax deductible to individuals and corporations.

The mission of the foundation is, simply, to assist, support and strengthen Clark Memorial Hospital in its efforts to provide superior health service to the people and communities it serves.

The Heroes Behind the Heroes

Anyone who’s spent any time at Clark Memorial knows that it’s full of heroes — our caregivers, whose passion it is to give people who are in need of comfort and healing the best possible care.

However when it comes to seeing that our caregivers consistently have the facilities and resources they need to do their work, we have our Foundation donors to thank. They’re the ones who provide the funds that make new construction and equipment purchases possible, and keep our education, outreach and health screening programs running.
