The Breastfeeding Center at Especially For Women  offers the following services:

Breastfeeding Basics Class
Offered monthly, this class provides basic information and practical skills for expectant mothers. Common breastfeeding problems are discussed, as well as community resources for breastfeeding mothers. We also encourage fathers to attend. Call 283-2405 to attend our next class.

Breast Pump Rentals/Purchase
Breast pumps are offered for rental or purchase. The lactation consultant can advise you in choosing the pump to best meet your breastfeeding needs.

Breastfeeding Consultation
Our lactation consultant is available for one-to-one consultation to meet your breastfeeding needs. Consultations are available before and after the birth of your baby. During prenatal consultations, the lactation consultant can evaluate a mother’s learning needs and readiness to breastfeed. After the birth of your baby, the lactation consultant can evaluate problems, such as latch-on, sore nipples, or low milk supply. Call 283-2901 to schedule your consultation.

Baby Weight Checks
Do you want to know if your baby is gaining weight? Visit The Breastfeeding Center at Especially For Women and we will weigh your bundle of joy for you! Weight gain is a reliable sign that your baby is receiving the nourishment necessary to grow and develop.

Breastfeeding Supplies
Breastfeeding supplies, including pads, bras, and instructional materials, are available for purchase at The Breastfeeding Center.

Breastfeeding Help Line
Got a question at 3 a.m.? Our Breastfeeding Basics answers many questions about breastfeeding. Or, call 283-2901 and leave a message for our lactation consultant. She will gladly return your call on the next business day.

Breastfeeding At Work
Are you going back to work? Our lactation consultant is available to consult with your workplace on developing a breastfeeding friendly workplace.
