No one cares for your heart like Clark.
Heart disease is America’s number one killer, claiming more victims every year than the top seven cancers combined. What’s worse, those with heart disease often experience no obvious symptoms. In fact, in almost half of all cases, the very first symptom is a heart attack.
At Clark Memorial Hospital, we’re committed to the heart health of southern Indiana. We provide a continuum of care and services, from prevention and detection to treatment and recovery.
At the Clark Memorial Heart Center — a 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility — we provide Clark County residents with advanced diagnostic, interventional and stabilization services.
The Heart Center features two cardiac catheterization laboratories for both diagnostics and therapeutic balloon angioplasty procedures. It also includes 12 private telemetry rooms for monitoring patients who have to stay overnight after their procedure.
But Clark Memorial’s world-class heart care extends well beyond our Heart Center. For example, Clark Memorial Hospital is southern Indiana’s first Accredited Chest Pain Center.
Additionally, Clark’s Cardiology Center of Southern Indiana works alongside our Heart Center to provide a broad spectrum of heart evaluations and diagnostic processes such as echocardiograms, cardiac stress tests, tilt table tests, cardiac catheterization and calcium scoring. They also perform advanced heart procedures such as coronary stents, angioplasty, and the installation of pacemakers and defibrillators.
If you or someone you love is suffering from a cardiopulmonary condition, you can rest assured that Clark Memorial is here to provide world-class heart care with hometown compassion. Because when it comes to your heart, no one cares like Clark.
Clark Memorial offers support groups and instructional classes for patients suffering from chronic obstructive cardiopulmonary disease (COPD), asthma and chronic bronchitis to help them better cope with their illnesses and live more comfortably.
