Clark Memorial is a place where people come to get well, but it’s also a place where people come to stay well by participating in our many health and wellness programs. From CPR to smoking cessation, to fitness, Clark Memorial offers classes to suit your schedule. We also offer a variety of seminars on topics ranging from heart health to joint replacement . The Family Birth Place offers a wider range of classes on topics ranging from breastfeeding to infant CPR and safety, brothers and sisters to be, Lamaze and more.

Knee and Hip Pain Seminars

Clark Memorial offers Knee and Hip Pain seminars throughout the year to discuss conservative treatments and joint replacement surgery with Clark’s Fast Track Recovery program.

Bariatric Weight Loss

If you want to keep weight off permanently, Clark Memorial Hospital can help.  The bariatric program offers a gastric banding procedure and complete follow-up to help you lose the weight and keep it off.  Changes in behaviors and attitudes are an important part of the program. Smoking Cessation

Clark Memorial, in conjunction with the Clark County Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Coalition, offers free counseling for people who want to quit using cigarettes or spit tobacco. Ask us about our free tobacco cessation education programs for your business or organization.

Wellness Programs

Clark Memorial offers a number of specialized wellness programs for all ages, including weight management, Zumba® fitness and arthritis-friendly exercise classes, all at our state-of-the-art Health and Wellness facility.

Diabetes Support Group

Better manage diabetes with free education and information based on peer-driven topics relevant to you. Groups meet monthly to support and encourage one another to live healthier lives with diabetes.

Better Breathers Club

Clark Memorial Hospital and Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital provide this opportunity for those living with COPD to improve their quality of life and share their experiences with others facing similar struggles.

The Mended Hearts, Inc.

Mended Hearts inspires hope for heart disease patients and their families through a variety of services, such as visiting programs, support group meetings and educational forums.

Sunday, September 27
The annual Mended Hearts picnic will take place at 4 p.m. in Jeffersonville’s Perrin Park.
Bring your favorite side dish to share with the group. Meat will be provided.

Monday, October 26
Betty Antoine from Caregiver Homes will present information on keeping care at home and providing caregivers with coaching, support and financial assistance.
The program begins at 6 p.m. Chili will be provided.

Happy Thanksgiving! No meeting in November.

The annual Mended Hearts Christmas will be in December. Date, time and place to be announced!

Community CPR Classes

Learn how to be a rescuer with CPR classes from Clark Memorial. Our certified trainers teach CPR and relief of air-way obstruction in adults, children and infants. Open to the community.
