Clark Memorial Hospital to begin renovation for Level II neonatal intensive care unit in Southern Indiana

Clark Memorial Hospital will begin to renovate the existing nursery space to prepare for its Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This venture headed by Orange Construction & Restoration will allow the hospital to repurpose the nursery and install the new equipment necessary to care for the hospital’s tiniest patients. The $50,000 nursery update began Wednesday, June 14 and is expected to be complete in six weeks. . . .

Clark Memorial Hospital to open first Level II neonatal care unit in Southern Indiana

Clark Memorial Hospital and Norton Children’s Hospital today announced the opening of the first Level II neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in Southern Indiana at Clark Memorial’s Family Birth Place. The collaboration connects neonatologists from Norton Children’s Hospital with pediatricians in the NICU at Clark Memorial Hospital, allowing better access to specialty care close to home for residents in Southern Indiana.

Heart disease is the number one killer of both men and women in the U.S. In fact, according to the American Heart Association, one in four people die of heart disease every year. That’s why it’s important to play smart with your heart. . . Clark Memorial Hospital is offering a free Heart Health Assessment on February 15 from 7 a.m. to noon. The 30 minute assessment includes BMI (body mass index), blood pressure, blood glucose, full cholesterol screening and one-on-one education.
